Types Of Esthetician Test Questions You Need To Be Prepared For

By Estelle Larsen

When you want to become a professional, there is an examination that you have to go through. It might be so that you can become certified or so that you can get your license for the profession you have entered. If you wish to become an esthetician, then you will be instructed to answer a set of esthetician test questions.

This particular examination is meant to gauge the aspiring professional's skills and knowledge on his or her profession. If the said professional failed that examination, then that means that he or she is not yet ready for work. That means that the professional still needs further training and studying to be able to work in this field.

One should not take the exam for granted. There are a lot of people whose career depends on whether they can pass this set for them or not. If they pass the said exam during the first try, they can continue with the career path they have chosen immediately. Otherwise, they will be set back for a few months or even years. Here are the types of exam you will face.

Multiple choice. Through the multiple choice, you will be provided a question that you must answer. In this type, you will be provided the correct answer thrown together in a group of wrong ones. You need to pick out among the bunch of choices which one is the right answer. The least amount of choices you will be provided is two.

Identification. It is the type of question where you will be given a definition. It will be up to you to give the term, phrase, person, or concept that this definition refers to. To be able to answer this question, you do not need to memorize the definitions. All you have to do is remember some trigger words or words that will remind you of the word when you hear them.

Matching type. It is a mix of a multiple choice and identification type. One column will give the definition of the word. Another column is for the possible answers. You have to choose in the column containing the possible answers which one is best referred to by the definition written in the second column.

True or false. In this, you will be required to give your answer as either true for when the statement is correct or false for when the statement is wrong. If it is a modified true or false type, then you will be required to correct the wrong words in the statement. You have to use your best judgment here.

Fill in the blanks. This is the type of question where you will be given a statement where one or two words will be replaced with a blank. It will be up to you to put in the right answers in the blank provided. There are instances when the answers are given in a box and you have to choose which ones are to be filled in which blanks.

Essay. Your reasoning skills and writing skills will be tested when you face this question type. You will have to state and defend your answer when you are given a problem here. You will need to articulate your mind in writing when you are asked to answer this.
